FULL ITINERARY

• • Early in the morning, our transfer agent and private transport will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Cusco and take you to the train station, with destination  Ollantaytambo. From there, you will take a spectacular and scenic 2 hour journey to Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu.
  • Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, your guide will be waiting to take you to the bus station for a 25 minute trip up the mountain to Machu Picchu. When you arrive to the top of the mountain, your guide will give you some last minute tips before starting this amazing tour. Along our almost 2 and a half hour expedition through Machu Picchu Citadel, ‘The Lost City of the Incas’, you will learn the history of the city and visit the truly remarkable temples of the Sun and the Condor. You will also see the aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Incan Sacred Terraces. After your guided tour of Machu Picchu, you will take the bus back to aguas calientes and have lunch in one of the restaurants located in the town. Then back to Cusco.

  • This itinerary is quite packed, so be prepared for a long and active day. If you have the option, spending an extra day in the area to explore the surroundings, or the town of Aguas Calientes, can be a more leisurely way to experience the area.
