Cusco City Tour

Overview :

  • It’ll take around 5 hours from 13.30 pm to 18.30 pm.
  • (We are come to pick you up from your hotel at 13:00 hour).
  • Stops in to the Cusco city (two sites):
  • The Cathedral (the main church of Cusco).
  • Q’oricancha (known as the Temple of the Sun, the main temple of the Incas) now is the Santo Domingo church.
  • Visits outside of Cusco (four main Inca sites located around out site the city limits):
  • Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay.

  • San Pedro local market.
  • Qoricancha (temple of the sun/ monastery of Santo Domingo).
  • Sacsayhuaman.
  • Qenqo.
  • Tambomachay.
  • Pucapucara (red tower).
  • The main Cathedral of Cusco ( optional up to you).
Itinerary

We are going to come to pick you up from your hotel´s lobby at 13:00 PM. From here we will go to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas where our first place is, the famous colonial cathedral (entry fee: S/25 not included on the tourist ticket).

After exploring this sacred and rich colonial church will continue on foot with your group through an ancient Inca-built street from the Plaza de Armas to the Q’oricancha, the Temple of the Sun (entry fee: S/10 is not included on the tourist ticket ).

Between those places we will enjoy the beautiful Inca streets and how incredible is the structures at same time see traditional restaurants come from the colonial time and then get the sun temple.

From Q’oricancha after a good explorations we will walk down to Avenida El Sol, where we will take our bus to go up to the top of Cusco city, about 25 minute later on the van we will get the incredible Inca temple named Sacsayhuaman with its enigmatic monoliths weighing more than 180 tons. Our guide will offer nice explanation of this phenomenal site.

From Sacsayhuaman it is a 5 more minutes bus ride to Q’enqo Inca site here we will find a natural cave with nice altar carved in situ stone, then another 10 more minutes’ drive to Puka Pukara, a small, circular Inca site. And our final stop is in Tambomachay, beautiful water temple thought to be used by the Inca for bathing. And then we’ll drive back down to Cusco where our trip ends in the main square, unless you are taking a private tour, in this case we will return you to your hotel or wherever you are.

  • Tourist ticket: 70 soles for the 4 Inca sites (If you are also doing the Sacred Valley tour, it is actually better to purchase the full touristic ticket 130 Peruvian soles total (which gives you access to other sites in the Sacred Valley and some museums and attractions in Cusco and is good for 10 days).
  • Colonial main Cathedral: 25 soles
  • Q’oricancha/Temple of the Sun: 10 soles

What to bring ?

  • Original passport (and *International Student card (ISIC) if is applicable).

We based all our prices according the type and size of group, like this we ensure your trip because we need only 2 persons to open a new departure.

Open Group:

  • Minimum 2 person and maximum 15 = US$ 25 for person.

Closed Group:

  • 2-3 person group = US$ 140 PER GROUP.
  • 4-6 person group = US$ 150 PER GROUP.
  • 7-9 person group = US$ 180 PER GROUP.
  • More than 10 people US$ 20 per person or contact us per especial groups like families.

Private Groups:

  • 2-3 person group = US$ 85 PER PERSON.
  • 4-6 person group = US$ 45 PER PERSON.
  • 7-9 person group = US$ 40 PER PERSON.
  • $180 total per group (2 – 6 people).
  • $250 total (7 – 13 people).

How much money should I have to bring?

  • If you like to see all the places mentioned on the itinerary you should take estimated Local Cash.
  • Entrance fee for Koricancha temple: US$ 5 = 10 Peruvian soles.
  • Entrance fee for the Cathedral: US$ 10 =25 Peruvian soles.
  • The entrance fees to the archaeological and tourist sites are not included. Please note that you will need to purchase a tourist pass to enter the sites on this tour. You can purchase a partial tourist pass for S/. 70 soles (about $25 USD) if you plan to tour only the sites in Cusco during your trip. However, if you plan to visit sites in both Cusco and the Sacred Valley, we recommend you purchase the full tourist pass for S/. 130 soles (about $45 USD). It is not necessary to purchase the tourist pass in advance, as you can get it at the first site we visit on the tour.
