Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is the second property of the Peruvian eco-hotel chain Inkaterra, situated in the Amazon. The retreat is located on the former Concepción plantation, which was used for rubber and cocoa production and housed a medical post in the 1950s. Inkaterra has carefully restored this expansive 380-hectare area, using local materials to build their facilities and reduce environmental impact. The hacienda is surrounded by lush forest, providing a natural barrier between Tambopata National Park and the Madre de Dios River. As a result, the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción remains pristine and secluded, yet easily accessible. A scenic motorized canoe ride is required to reach the lodge, taking just 25 minutes or 8 kilometers downstream from Puerto Maldonado. Like all Inkaterra jungle lodges, Hacienda Concepción offers guided excursions into the pristine rainforest, including trekking, boat rides, and bird watching. Additionally, the holistic Nua spa center provides opportunities for relaxation, massages, and meditation.
